New benefit for VISION 2009 Vocation Network Advertisers

VISION Vocation Network is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with the University of Notre Dame’s Satellite Theological Education Program (STEP) for the benefit of VISION's advertising communities. VISION Vocation Network Advertisers will be able to enroll in Notre Dame's STEP online theology courses at a 20 percent discount.

Since 1999 Notre Dame's STEP has offered high-quality, low-cost, flexible theological education and faith formation via the internet. STEP provides online, certificate courses designed by University of Notre Dame faculty and facilitated by a STEP staff facilitator. The wide array of courses cover five basic areas:

• Scripture

• AFFORDABLE: Your community’s discerners, candidates, members, associates or oblates will be able to enroll in regularly scheduled STEP theology courses by taking advantage of a special 20 percent VISION Vocation Network Advertiser discount at the time of registration.
• CUSTOMIZED: STEP can also deliver many of its theology courses in a customized fashion, creating a unique version of most of its courses to meet the varying educational needs in your community.
• FLEXIBLE: STEP online theology courses usually run only 6 weeks and involve creating your own schedule for reading, lectures, responding to weekly reflection and assignment questions, and participation in discussion board conversations. The only set time is for participation in a weekly moderated live chat.
• CONVENIENT: Course material is available 24/7 so students can work on their own schedules (with the exception of the weekly chats).
